Davno sam čitao o ovoj ogoljenoj verziji XP-a pa me interesuju iskustva. Instalirao sam ga na Virtual mašini i sve mi izgleda brzo ali kako se pokazao u svakodnevnom radu? Kod: eXPerience Proudly Presents:

If you have got this release from anywhere EXCEPT "The Pirate Bay" (prq.to/announce) as a torrent, YOU MUST CHECK ALL SIZES ABOVE MATCH! NOTE: In the text file on the top of the start menu, this installation says the ISO is 103Mb without the programs and 105Mb with programs - this is the one thing I did not update from the older beta versions of this release!!!!! Therefore when you see this, DO NOT WORRY! This ISO should be 112Mb, the RAR file is 100Mb. Thank you for you interest in this stripped out (112Mb) Edition of XP. I clocked mine in Task Manager using only 39.5Mb of RAM. Windows XP usually uses 300Mb of RAM at the very least. This "TinyXP" not only runs fast, but takes up only 400Mb total space on your system hard drive. Thats the "WINDOWS" folder, "Documents and settings" and "Program Files" By using only 40Mb of RAM, this allows your PC to run fast, I mean VERY fast! All important hardware drivers and other essentials have been kept in this release - You have joystick support, printer support and other bare essentials. "Microsoft SideWinder" support has been left in. NOTE: You cannot use Microsoft Office with this tiny edition of Windows XP. You still have one Microsoft application left in Windows - MS Paint. The Calculator is gone, as is Wordpad. GONE is that nasty Internet Explorer, it does not exist in this Edition! Whats nice about this TinyXP is this... When this XP has installed, (the install takes just six minutes) you will have a link on the "Start Menu" under "Programs" to a standalone internet browser that takes up only 358Kb on the CD... This "OffByOne" browser is a great space saving alternative to the usual browsers everyone uses. Because WinRAR is also installed with this TinyXP, it is easy to click the browser shortcut in the "Start Menu" and simply drag the file "OB1.exe" out of WinRAR and to any directory you choose. This really is a "standalone" internet browser, would work even on Windows 95 and possibly as far back as Windows 3.11. This browser does not require I.E. or any of the DLL or OCX files I.E. would be using. Hats off to OffByOne! Also included is a standalone BitTorrent client, uTorrent. This tiny BT client is only 105Kb! All the programs included use "nearly zero" resources. Windows Media Player is NOT included at all in this install. You will have to grab some kind of player from somewhere if you want to play movies and audio files. To play WMV or WMA files you will probably have to install some version of the proper "Windows Media Player". It is OK in most cases to then uninstall it and it will leave behind those essential files that were missing, neat trick, but hey we don't want this crap on our system! Things like this just slow it down! GONE also are all Windows noises like startup and shutdown noises, but audio DOES work. You cannot use Microsoft Office, but you DO have support if you want to install a printer... you can see below what devices are supported in TinyXP. E, ja nikako da ga probam, eno, stoji mi Rev02 ISO, nikako da ga srezem na neki RW i testiram. A ima i problema sa nekim stvarima (npr. skidanje zakrpa i sl.), posto je "narodna" verzija Windowsa koriscena., mada vidim da 94% ljudi koji su probali ima pozitivna iskustva i reci hvale. da ponovim jesam testirao ali na VMwareu, gde sam bio uskraćen za neke stvari, npr. VMware čudno prepoznaje moju karticu (NVidia 6600) te nisam mogao da instaliram Forceware drajvere itede. inače OS ima neverovatno mali footprint u memoriji (40MB) i iziskuje malo prostora na HDD-u (nisam siguran čini mi se oko 300-400MB). kažu ne može MS Office (zbog potpuno izbačenog Jet enginea) ali meni on treba kao lanjski sneg. na kraju krajeva, sam sebi postavljam pitanje - šta će mi to? pored svih isključenih servisa i XPlite čačkanja vreme podizanja sistema mi je oko 1 minut a i u radu je sve prilično brzo. ipak, probaću uživo čim narežem jedan ghost primarne particije. |

Za grafiku treba da se instaliraju VMware Tools. Ti ni nemas tvoju graficku unutar VMware-a, vec virtuelnu, SVGA II sa citavih 512KB Video RAMa. Ta "verzija" XPa je namestena da bi radila na slabim masinama, a na savremenim da leti. |

E da šta je Borg XP? Šta je tu sve promenjeno? Nikako da ga probam, a čitao sam i da ima neku foru pri instalaciji, ide odbrojavanje i ako ne izabereš opciju dovoljno brzo on nastavlja sam... ? |

Sto se samog prostora tice, imam potpuno funkcionalnu verziju XPSP2 koja zauzima 100 i kusur MB na disku, a posle instalacije 365MB. Uzeo sam nLite i povadio sve sto mi nije potrebno. S tim sto ovde i office moze regularno da se instalira?!? Ali sam pobrisao sve moguce drajvere i ubacio samo one koji su mi bili potrebni za masinu za kojuje je ta verzija bila namenjna. Dakle, nema razloga da ne radi kako treba. BTW, kad smo vec kod velicine XP-a, ukoliko ste stavili sve zakrpe i sacuavli uninstall fajlove, sasvim je moguce da ste prebacili 3GB!!! Masina sa koje trenutno kucam ima 2.56 GB(2.79 zauzeto zbog klastera). |

This is it....the last edition until vista is released....... I have used Winrar to compress this edition.....Uncompress it ONLY ONCE! The iso is inside.... Go to [COLOR=orange]www.iso-tek.org[/COLOR] for support but, READ ME FIRST! This compilation DVD will install windows automatically after you tell it where to install to. DO NOT upgrade....DO NOT install over another windows install. [SIZE=7]!!!!!!!!!!!YOU MUST FORMAT AND DO A FRESH INSTALL!!!!!!!!![/SIZE] Upon initiating a fresh, clean install, windows will not ask for a serial, or activation, or registration! If it does...your doing it wrong! SEE Above! After windows completes installation and after first reboot, the WPI Borg menu will appear for 120 seconds for you to choose your own programs. When you click the install button, everything you selected will be silently installed - no user interaction is required. If you do not click anywhere on the menu screen before 120 seconds has elapsed, a default selection of about 30 apps will install automatically. nlite je i vishe od toga... integrisanje drajvera, patcheva, tweak-ova... bootabilnih diskova... prog je chudo. preporodio sam se od kako ga koristim!!! reinstal vishe nije problem ni na mojoj ni na drugim mashinama... lepo tvikujesh win da bidne kaki ti o'sh i nakon instalacije (postoji i full automated instalation, koja zahteva da samo ubacish cd, podesish target drive i odesh na kaficu ne morash ni cd key da ukucavash) kad se vrnesh iz klonje ilo chega vec, imash full customized win jelte!!! ma brooka...

^ Meni je ipak bolja varianta norton ghost. Za 11 minuta mi se vrati sistem na prvobitno stanje (sto podrazumeva clean WinXP, osnovne programcice, sve drivere). |

probao sam TinyXP. nisam mogao da instaliram DirectX. obrisao ga. probao nlite. ugradio poslednji sp2 sa svim patchevima. nlite je pucao nakon što sam ga usmeravao na taj direktorijum gde se nalazi modifikovani Win. digao ruke i lepo instalirao običan WinXP SP2 koji sam imao od ranije. edit: naravno kasnije sam ga modifikovao sa XPlite-om i ručno. |

Ja koristim TinyXp već neko vreme na dve mašine i jako lepo radi. Na drugoj mašini (koja je prilično stara i gde zeza grafička) samo on hoće da radi, dok instalacija običnog puca. Kod mene fino radi i ne buni se .gif ":)") Directx sam instalirao bez problema kao i sve ostale programčiće koji su mi trebali. Jedino je zezao ICS ali mi je drugar namestio nat32 tako da je i to rešeno

@ pirossi: meni nikad nije pucao a mrdzhovao sam ne znam ni sam koliko verija xp-ova i patcheva i ... chega vishe ne secam se!!! da li imash .net instaliran. ako nemash instaliraj ili .net full od ms-a (ups, hocu reci M$-a ) ili .net runtime library (ili tako nekako) koji mozhes da nadjesh na nuhijevom sajtu.
proko, ako te zeza xp full na starijoj makini instaliraj 2000 pro! os je PERFEKCIJA i ja ga koristim na staroj makini, na kojoj mi radi shveca. josh se nije bunila! |

@ pirossi: ne znam u chemu je 3p, ali on izgleda trazhi 1.1! iako bi trebalo, ako imash 2.0 da sve shto radi sa prethodnim verzijama shljaka ok, meni je npr visual studio instalirao i 1.1 sa sp-om i 2.0!  probaj sa 1.1 ili runtime fajlovima od nje. imash ih na sajtu nlite-a! ako hocesh/ako ti treba, naravno!

^ možda je problem bio i sa onim SP2+kumulativni patch? bio je neki čudan sa DEBUG u imenu. a skinuo ga direkt sa M$ sajta. već sam očistio novoinstalirani sistem od gluposti, još da narežem ghost i pa pa... |

mozhda, ali ne verujem. probaj da nabavish .net 1.1 sa sp-om (dolazi na cd-u visual studia, ako ga imash). to bi trebalo 99% da ti reshi problem. imao sam foru sa plan-plus-om 2006. on je instalirao 1.1, kad sam nabavio 2.0, mislio sam da mi vishe ne treba 1.1, pa sam ga skinuo, instalirao 2.0 i restartovao sistem. plan plus nije vishe hteo da radi. tek nakon reinstalacije programa (kad se reinstalirao i .net 1.1) je proradilo... luda je ideja, ali ako 2 razlicite verzije .net-a mogu da stoje na jednoj makini i da se ne kose, verovatno je sa razlogom to! |

Čitam da TinyXP rev5 omogućava instalaciju MS office-a. A postoji i TinyXP Vista edition koja je malo manje stesana i ima Aero temu. Čak su i WGA ishakovali
